Wait, is this my formal invitation?
No, of course this is not your formal invitation.  We will be mailing invitations out shortly.  Please head to the RSVP page and provide your mailing address.

When do I need to RSVP by?
Now, you procrastinator! But if you spilled water all over your keyboard, cracked your iPhone screen, and can’t find the RSVP card Jasmine clearly over agonized over, you have until February 1, 2016 to get your life together, bro.

Can I bring my friend and/or family member?
We want this day to be an intimate celebration with our closest family members and friends. We hate to say no to you, but we just can’t accommodate anyone that we have not invited. If you have any questions about the guest list, please email us at manmine2016@gmail.com. If we didn’t give you a plus one, rest-assured you will be put in touch with other folks for hotel-room sharing, breakfast eating, and forgotten phone charger support.

Will there be food?
Yes, there will be more food than you can handle at every event.

What should I wear?
For the civil ceremony/sangeet, please wear something colorful!

For the wedding, please keep in mind that the ceremony will be in our temple and you will be seated on the carpeted floor.  We humbly request that you cover your legs. We will provide handkerchiefs and scarves to cover your heads.

Go all out for the reception! Do you have a sparkle dress you didn’t have anywhere else to wear? You know Jasmine wants to see it. A pair of patent leather shoes so shiny you distract passerbyers? Mandeep needs to know if you found them on Gilt!

Are you providing transportation?
We will provide transportation for our guests from either the Hyatt Regency or the Gainey Suites Hotel (depending on where most people book) to The Paseo on Friday, April 1. The hotels are only 10 minutes walking distance from one another and shuttle service is provided between them, so please don't fret about your choice of hotel. The bus will depart from the hotel at 445pm sharp and will depart from The Paseo at 1045pm.

Transportation will also be provided to the ceremony location on Saturday, April 2nd.  The bus will depart from the hotel at 9am sharp.  The bus will leave the ceremony location to return to the hotel at 2pm.

If you intend to ride the bus to either/both venues, please indicate so on the RSVP page.

If you wish to arrive/depart at different times, please arrange for transportation through a car rental company, Lyft or Uber.

Note: we do not yet know if the charter buses can accommodate car seats for your beautiful babies. Please stay tuned for an update to this site for more information.

Is there parking?
Yes, the civil ceremony/sangeet site has plenty of parking. The wedding ceremony site has covered and uncovered parking. The reception venue has both self and valet parking available.

What time should I arrive?
On time. Seriously. Indians, we are talking to you. This is only because we want everyone to have a stress-free, food and fun filled few days.

Can I bring my kids?
The civil ceremony/sangeet and wedding are children-friendly events. Please feel free to bring them! We unfortunately cannot accommodate children at the reception. If you are interested in securing babysitting resources, we can direct you to the right place (and to other parents that may want to coordinate something with you).

What can I expect at each event?
Dancing, dancing and more dancing. The civil ceremony/sangeet will be a combination of an “American” style wedding with an exchange of vows and a traditional Indian sangeet with singing of folk songs, dancing, and mehdni (henna) for the hands. Appetizers, dinner and drinks will be served.

The wedding will be a traditional Sikh ceremony. The festivities will begin with the arrival of the baraat (groom’s procession), the meeting of the bride and groom’s families (milni), breakfast, the Sikh wedding ceremony in the temple, lunch (yes, seriously, you will eat twice), picture taking, and the doli (departure of the bride).

The reception will begin with cocktails outdoors. We will then move to an indoor ballroom for a night of dancing, naan-eating, and celebrating.

Social media?
Cool with us. Please use #manmine2016 so we can look at your pictures on our honeymoon! But don’t be that dude/dudette standing in front of the-photographer trying to get the perfect shot of Mandeep making a funny face or Jasmine double-fisting donuts. And if you miss a joke because you were busy thinking of  hashtags, that’s on you.  #thebridewilltrip #thegroomwillsnapwhiledancing

Will any of this information change?
Probably. Check back here for periodic updates. And more pictures!
